Report Builder Layout Explained

Reporting within CAC CareNet can be used to gather unique information from across the client profile to produce custom reports. That being said there are different sections of the report builder that serve different purposes when creating reports. Throughout this article we'll examine each section and talk about what they do. Let's begin!

Report Builder Structure

  1. Dataset: Refers to the different locations within the client profile you can pull reports on.
  2. Reporting Library: Saved custom reports that can be reused.
  3. Report Fields: Allows you to modify how data is presented (e.g. ordering, aggregate numbers, etc.)
  4. Available Fields: Displays the fields you can report on within a particular dataset
  5. Filters: Allows you to create different rules for data
  6. Output options: The report builder supports exporting data in three different file formats (HTML, PDF, & .CSV)
