Using the Case Tab - Step by Step

Using the Case Tab - Step by Step

The Case tab within CAC CareNet gives you space to enter in case information for your client. Within this tab you can enter in presenting, Law Enforcement (LE), CPS (Child Protective Services), and Client Prosecution information. To learn more about using these sections follow the steps below:

Step 1: Access the client profile you would like to add case information to. This can be done from the dashboard via the Recent Clients and My Clients columns or by searching using the left hand sidebar.

Step 2: Once on the client profile navigate to the Case tab.

Step 3: At the very top of the case tab you will see the agency case information. In this section you can assign certain personnel to a case, define a custom agency case number and a primary victim Advocate/MDT Coordinator. After making any edits to this section press the 'Save' button.

Below the case information is the allegation information. To add in a new allegation press the 'Add Allegation' button in the bottom left hand corner. If you want to edit an allegation that has already been created simply press the 'Edit' button.

Step 4: After pressing the add allegation button you will first be prompted to enter in the presenting information. You must enter and save the presenting information before the LE, CPS and Client Prosecution sections will appear.
Tip: There is not a limit to the number of allegations that can be added for a client.

Step 6: Start filling in information for each section. After entering in any data make sure and hit the 'Save' button.
Note: Before moving on to another section ensure that you have pressed the 'Save' button. For example, if you enter in information for the LE and CPS sections without saving the LE information first, you will loose the information entered in the LE section and only save data entered in the CPS section.
Tip: Fields that have a colored header mean they contribute to site reporting. Green = NCA & VOCA, Blue = VOCA, Orange = NCA. Fill in those fields if possible!
