Setting up Password Permissions - Step by Step
Within CAC CareNet users can have the ability to update and change their password whenever they need to. With the correct set of permissions this is a possibility. Please follow along below to learn more about updating a user group with this option:
Step 1: Navigate to the Security tab and select permissions.Note: Typically only administrators will have the correct security to update permissions. If you run into a permission error screen please contact your local administrator.
Step 2: Once your page reloads select the user group you would like to edit from the top drop down.
Step 3. After selecting the user group you'd like to edit, scroll down to the Personnel section and check the box for 'Reset Personnel Password'. Then press the save button.
Step 4. After the user group has been updated that group of personnel will now have the ability to update their own passwords within CareNet. For a personnel to update their password they simply need to access their personnel profile through the drop down in the top corner on the screen (A) and press the profile button (B). Then, once the page reloads to their personnel profile, page press the 'Change Password' button.
