Setting Up Co-Victims - Step by Step
Whether you're setting up a profile for the first time or updating a current profile the co-victim status is a handy tool that can be used to save you time. The benefits of using the co-victim status are:
- You can create a band new client account off the primary account you've created and avoid going through the whole intake process again.
- Using the co-victim status will pull over all the associated people you've already entered in.
- When creating a profile using the co-victim status it will automatically set each client up as a linked account (making it extremely easy to create group copies).
To learn how to setup a client as a co-victim please follow the steps below:
Step 1. After filling in all the information for your primary client (or editing an already created profile), click the 'Link Person' button in the bottom left hand corner.
Note: You can designate an already created associated person as a co-victim. If the person you want to mark has already been added in, skip to step 3.
Step 3. After pressing the 'Add New Person' button you will now have an new filed to enter in client information. To designate this client as a co-victim you will need to check the 'Is Co-Victim' box. After entering in information press the 'Save' button in the bottom left hand corner.
Step 4. After pressing save your page will reload to the primary victims profile. To create a new profile for the co-victim navigate to the 'Contact' tab.
Step 5. Once on the contact tab you will see all associated person(s) that you added in during the intake process. Next to the client that you've marked as a co-victim you will see a button labeled 'Create Profile'. Using this method to create a profile will maintain the associated person(s) you've already entered in, while creating a new profile.
Step 6. After pressing 'Create Profile' you will first see a pop-up requesting you to define the relationships between the co-victims as well as if you would like them to be linked. After making your selections the page will reload and bring you back to the intake screen. The major difference being the profile that you are creating is for the co-victim. You can double check this by looking at the associated persons and confirming that the primary client appears in that section, and not in the top section.
Step 7. After confirming the information on the intake screen press the save button in the bottom left hand corner to proceed to the client profile. At this point treat the client profile like any other - set the AFR, setup any additional linked accounts, and start adding in services.
