Creating a New Folder in the Document Folders - Step by Step

Within the document folders section of CAC CareNet you have the ability to create custom folders depending on your organizations needs. This can be done in a few simple steps:


1. From the dashboard expand the Admin tab and select Document Manager.
Note: Depending on your permission set you may not have access to this page. If you receive a permission error please contact your local administrator.


2. Once on the document manager page you will have access to all other folders created with CAC CareNet.
Note: Utilizing a folder created by someone else will not negatively impact them on their database. Please feel free to utilize what has already been created if it fits your needs.


3. To edit the visibility of folders scroll to the bottom of the page and press the 'Edit Table' button. After pressing you will now have the option to modify visibility by either checking (visible) or unchecking (non-visible). After making any changes press the save button.
Tip: Did you know you can update a folder to be accessible by certain people? To do this press the pencil icon next the folder, select the name within the 'Accessible By:' drop down, and press save!



4. To add in a brand new folder, press the 'Add Document Folder and the bottom of the page, fill in the required info, and press save. 
Note: When selecting the 'Locked:' option, you must also select who the folder is 'Accessible By:'. When locking a folder it means only those who are chosen can see it and add information to it.
