Assigning an Advocate to a Case - Step by Step

Assigning an Advocate to a Case - Step by Step

Assigning personnel to a case is an important part of the intake process. When assigning someone to a case it will automatically add the client to the personnel's dashboard, as well as send them notifications when updates are made to their profile. To assign a personnel follow the below steps:

1. Search for the client you're going to assign. Within CAC CareNet you have several options to search, the easiest way (if you know their name) is via the main search bar in the upper left hand corner. Or you can always search within the client tab.

2. Once on the client profile, select the Case tab. The case tab holds all of the presenting, LE, CPS, and prosecution information. This is also where you can designate who is assigned to a client.

3. To assign someone to a client on the case tab simply make a selection in either the Primary Victim Advocate, MDT Coordinator, or Following Case sections. While you only have one selection for the primary victim advocate and MDT coordinator sections, you can assign as many personnel as you'd like by adding them to the following case field. After making your selections always make sure to hit the save button!
